What can I expect?

Below are some questions and answers you might find useful

1 Where is HBC?

HBC is at 145 Frinton Road, Holland on Sea, CO15 5UR on the corner of Norman Road. Please see the contact us page for directions.

2 Where can I park?

The church has a small car park with limited parking. Norman Road or any of the adjacent streets provide the other options for unrestricted parking.

3 What happens when I arrive?

You will be welcomed by a member of the welcome team in the foyer and given a weekly notice sheet. If it is your first visit we’ll show you to a suitable seat and introduce you to someone and make you feel welcome. Do also have a look at the welcome desk at the back of the church that provides information and details of activities at HBC. The toilets are at the back of the church which includes disabled facilities. The church also has a loop amplification system and wheelchair access is accessible.

4 What are the services like?

Please see Sundays at HBC page for details.

5 What is there for children and babies?

Our children stay in the main church until about 10:50am when they leave for their Sunday club which is held in the adjacent church hall for children aged 4½ to 11 years. Here the children enjoy Bible teaching through stories, singing, games and crafts. Light refreshments available. Créche facilities are also available for babies and the very young.

6 Who will look after children?

All of our children and young people’s leaders/helpers are CRB checked in line with our church child protection policy ‘Safe to Grow’ following the Baptist Union of Great Britian policy.

7 Will there be an offering

We do usually take up an offering during the service. However, you should feel under no obligation to give anything. We give as part of worship and monies received are allocated to support various Christian charities home and abroad and to further the churches work here in Holland on Sea. Occasionally, there might be a collection for a special purpose or charity, this would be explained during the service.

8 What happens after the service?

After the service do come through to the hall for refreshments and chat to one of our leaders or welcome team. (All wear name badges). Please complete a welcome card and let us know your comments or leave a message in our visitors book at the welcome desk.
